Firefly shares your location with friends and family on any phone. You can only add someone in person: stand together, scan their code, and you're connected.
Why in person?
Nobody can add you by phone number, email or username. Both phones have to be in the same spot when one scans the other's code. The code expires after 60 seconds and works once.
Private by design
- End-to-end encrypted. Your phone encrypts your location separately for each person. Our server can't read it.
- No history. We keep only the latest encrypted position for each person you share with. Every update replaces the last one.
- Your rules. Share for an hour, a few hours, or until you turn it off. Share one way or both ways. Stop any time, instantly.
